That's a Planet Jr Edger No. 2. For garden work. Planet Jr is collectible. They are famous for antique to mid century era small farm tools, like single wheel plows, planters, hillers, etc.

Two of the three DOE wrenches are WWII keepers - a Billings Vitalloy M1723 and a Williams 1028-S Superrench in pretty rough shape. One of the 11" screwdrivers is a barely legible ink-stamped IRWIN, the other is a Lenox (marked on the shank). And that's a Jeep 41-W-3335-30 motor pool spark plug socket in the front.

Couple of 1950's era Snap-On midget drive spinners off to the right... a TM-40 stubbie and a PAR-X UP4. That metal Giller Tool Corp case hinges on the end and has a fairly complete midget drive set in it. I suspect 1950's military contract.

And just for grins, check out the FM in the GI Joe box...

Nice Irwin! I’m sure you noticed the “9”. Kit ID?

It's a "94" actually. "X 94". Could be almost anything. 94th ID never deployed as a unit in WWII.

Neat! I like that FM  Prolly easier to read as well...

I have a good many of those Giller sockets if you ever decide to complete a kit, Wing.

Thanks, OB. I will take you up on that. I need an 8M (1/4” 6-point), 8MS (1/4” 8-point) and 9M (9/32” 6-point) if you have them.

If you mean the kind that actually shoot, yes, I've seen a few. Here's one I saw late last year called the "Big Bang." :)

Here are some more photos of the IRWIN. It looks like the shellac or BLO treatment it got hardened into a scaly state, mainly worn off, but you can see that it's on parts of the shank as well. Tip is in great condition. The wood inserts are just a hair loose. The shank could use some work with a worn brass wheel.

Ooh new shop dog. Is that a Chesapeake Bay Retriever? We just (last night) took possession of a rescue 15 month old mutt. At times identified as a Black Mouth Cur mix, a Shepherd mix and as a Malinoise. Guess I'll wait until he grows up to see ;)
