Too early? It was made after 1937 but before 1942 and I thought it interesting it has a decal and not a plate. The handle is shaped differently and it has 4 tick marks on the lid instead of the two rows of lines... it matches this blue label one:
I thought I remembered reading on a post with info from vintagefe.com that the early ones had the 4 corner lines instead of two on the lid. But now I can't find that post and vintagefe.com is no longer a functioning website.
