Plomb Tool Co.1/4" Sockets
Two boxes of 1/4 " sockets.3/8" drive.One box has all 12 point other box has 2 six point sockets.One box has end of box torn.$15.00 a box plus shipping.Thanks.Greg.

It might be helpful if you would post a side view of the sockets so potential buyers could determine whether the sockets are WF marked or conventional Plomb sockets. Good luck with your sale. Your prices seem very reasonable.

I hope you don't mind me adding some extra provenance for your box... According to the CPA War Supply Contracts Listings published in 1946, that contract (W-535-AC-26577), worth $3.197M, was the 3rd of 4 huge contracts that the US Army Air Corps had with Plomb for tools. It was let in January 1942 and terminated in June 1943. So, nice early war pieces.
I once had a few similar boxes, mine from the 4th of the 4 contracts, containing 9/32-drive WF- sockets.
It's interesting that some of the sockets in my old surplus load looked like the style in your box..., with what I would call a thick, heavy stamping.
But others seemed to be made with a different steel composition and finish, and also had a much thinner, lighter stamping.
