Clearly a Trimo pipe wrench and a Forsberg adjustable hacksaw frame.

Re: Signal Mechanics Tool Set TE-6 (NARA Photo)
Having restored one of these chests, and also started buying tools to fill it; I have to say that there are a few inconsistencies with this picture. Someone mentioned the pipewrench. There is not one listed on the tool list. The bench vise as pictured appears to be too large to even close the lid. It is supposed to be a 2" jaw Prentiss, while that one appears to be a 3"-4" jaw vise, and too tall. There are other minor things too, but just goes to show that even photographic evidence may not match specs.

Re: Signal Mechanics Tool Set TE-6 (NARA Photo)
Does anyone recognize the manufacturer and/or set of the screwplate (tap & die) set? Love those old wood box T&D sets, but haven't yet added any to my collection.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The parts list indicates it is a Greefield Little Giant AA-4 tap and screwplate set.

Have had this on my mind recently as I have been trying to buy tools that belong in the chest. Here is a picture of my Yankee Tool Set No 100...

Re: Signal Mechanics Tool Set TE-6 (NARA Photo)
As if to further prove Kirk's own point about the grain-of-saltiness regarding the NARA photo (and long-standing points about discrepancies between RAPD figures and SNL's), the tap and die set shown in the NARA photo is a Henry Hanson. Without question. They are the only OEM I know of who used a two-piece tap handle in this era and the label is a Hanson label, reading "TAP DRILL SIZES" at the top. (GTD had a one-piece tap handle with integral adjusters for different size taps.) Hanson's worked like machinists' clamps. Hanson also made sets for Blue-Point and Sears Roebuck Dunlap and Fulton lines. Not suggesting you look for a Hanson instead of the GTD. But you probably have at least those two choices.
EDIT:
This is not the exact same Hanson set, but compare the tap handle and the decal.
