+1!
Very nice. Rare to see the 2014A with the (X). I've mostly seen it with the G in the model number.
Good looking set.

Here's my set of BluePoint DBEs
E and G dated. The 11/16" & 3/4" wrench is marked BoxockeT. I thought that branding had gone away by then, but it's clearly date coded 'G'.

Picked up a Williams 8029B the other day. Recording for posterity.

Looks like cadmium and the ends are polished. EDIT: It could be chrome but the finish looks too porous to me. More cadmium-y.

Bill,
It's always hard to tell via photograph, but I'll take your word for it. An interesting unicorn for sure.

I picked this wrench up locally... trying to complete a late war GMTK set around the 8029B upthread. The Chrome - Alloy makes it early 40s but the interesting part is the "U.S." martial stamping. Now I just need to find the 8033C!

Wingnutt,
I have a dumb question. When you created the chart on the opening of this thread you listed Williams 8733C as the 15/16 x 1 choice. I only have the 1943 Williams wartime catalog and it lists the 8033C as the 45 degree offset 15/16 x 1 (on page 39-A). Was the model number different in the 1937 catalog that you cited?

Yes. If you go back to page 1 and the chart, scroll down from there and you'll see scans from the 1937 Williams and the 1947 Williams catalogs. It changed from 8733C to 8033C. At the time I started this thread those were the only Williams catalogs I had access to. Such a strange feeling to even think there were days like that now that we have at least five or six catalogs in between!

Thanks, Wing. For some reason the images are not showing up for me.

Hmm. I can still see them. If nobody else can see them I guess I'll have to fix them.
