Re: Introducing.... The WWII "GMTK" Whiz
Thanks Wingnutt!
Mine arrived yesterday. I must say to my way of thinking I would much rather use this than searching through some iPhoney thing I can't hardly see anyway. Plus when I see someone pull those out at the flea mkt table I know the price immediately goes up. Really a very clever tool. Can't wait to try it out this morning.

Anyone who already has one and wants to take advantage of this promise, PM me. If you bought one in the last month or so, that's the latest. If you bought one last October, the latest version has some fixes, some improvements, and some additional suppliers (thanks to ORD 5).Wingnutt wrote:...every purchase also comes with this promise from me: I will mail any future upgrades of the ‘Whiz’ to all original customers for the cost of materials and postage only.

Guys,
I was lucky enough to meet up with the world renowned Jeep and GMTK tool author and all around nice guy Wingnutt. I purchased on of his Whiz's and all I can say is if you are going to collect the GMTK tools ore even think you might YOU NEED one of these! Well... I guess you might not need one if you enjoy flipping through your hand written notes or trying to open various bookmarked G503 tool discussion pages on your smart phone while the sun glare renders your viewing experience almost impossible and while you are getting out your tape measure with your other hand all the while shifting the tool you are looking at between the two. Or, what the heck you can just wing it (no pun intended) and rely on your photographic memory to instantly recall all of the approved supplier names and design details that you have read about and seen illustrated on the Gee, Alloy Artifacts, etc. which are also conveniently contained on the Whiz. But then again why make it easy on yourself.
Seriously it is a great help and I know I"LL be using mine.

Re: Introducing.... The WWII "GMTK" Whiz
All,
Someone from the UK just ordered one of these and it prompted me to do a long-overdue update.
These are the changes/modifications in the newest version:
(1) Added J.P. Danielson date code format and correct wartime Channellock patent number to handle of water pump pliers figure (previously noted in Verified Suppliers List only)
(2) Added "Combo Cut" to tin snips figure
(3) Added Blue-Point, Apex, and Bonney to Phillips License Numbers near Phillips screwdriver figures
(4) Added "Broached - J.P.D. & Diamond" note near hanging hole in crescent-type adjustable figure
(5) Added note about removable jaw inserts on 14" PW and RIDGID PW ID tips
(6) Added Ryan and General Hardware to Verified Suppliers List
(7) Changed "No Pebbled" to "Pebbled Drive Handles Only" for Plvmb in the Verified Suppliers List
...and last, but certainly not least...
(8) Modified the statement in the Materials section to read, "Tools marked ‘Chrome’, ‘Molybdenum’, ‘Nickel‘ or ‘Vanadium’ are pre-war, but technically possible NLT 10/42. Tools marked ALLOY are safest."
PRICES REMAIN THE SAME
$30 to your door in the US
$35 to your door in the Canada, UK, Europe, and AUS/NZ
PM me. I just bought new toner, a whole new pack of laminate sheets, and a big fat whoppin' roll of packing tape!
Psst! Check out my flea market threads... I STILL use mine every week! Or keep it next to your eBay computer, if that's how you shop! (Just sayin')
