Flea Market
I don't know about your part of the country (or world for that matter) but in mine the flea market season ends in late October to mid November and re-opens the next spring. That means almost four months without digging through old tools....now some talk of SAD (seasonal affective disorder) over those same months.....but to me it's more like sustained abstinent digging (of tools) or something like that. Anyway you know what I mean. There is just something about digging through those buckets of old tools. You may look at today's finds and not be impressed and you shouldn't be; a few Bonney sockets, a 8" file correct for the GMTK and a screwdriver but that's not the point. The point is....it's flea market season!! Good Luck and keep posting your flea market finds for the rest of us to enjoy.

Re: Flea Market 2014-----Open Season!
I got 4 inches of snow today. I don't think the flea market is open just yet.

Re: Flea Market 2014-----Open Season!
Hi Phil,
I am impressed.
I have not found anything Jeep or GMTK for a while because the weather has been so wet over here, although the market has continued through the winter it has been lacking in participants.
I did get some 1940's design though albeit postwar. (http://designc20.com/hadrill-01.html)
Keep hunting !

Hitting Florida flea markets this week. Here are day number 1 finds:
Walden 1/4" set, walden drag link socket, Duro ignition set, fairmount 723 and 27C, BB 27c, vlchek alloy steel 731A, Williams <w> socket and one DI socket. Point being there are still great things to find if you get out there and look.

Re: Flea Market 2014-----Open Season!
Turns out Dad is a quick study. Not more than 2-3 weeks after showing him what to look for at the flea markets he sends me this picture today. He doesn't see what all the fuss is over these little wrenches.
Now I realize I shouldn't have told him what these are worth!

Re: Flea Market 2014/2015!
Most days I pay very little attention to anything that is not in a tool box or pile of tools. For some reason today I stopped at a table with hundreds if not thousands of postcards. The tools are great but these postcards are some of the coolest ww2 era items I have ever found.

Re: Flea Market 2014-2015!
My wife and I went for a couple of hours today and didn't do too bad. Duro ratchet with the square adapter that's usually missing, Simonds smooth file, 1-1/16" Wright socket, another file for the handle. A wrench or two and a couple of modern throw-ins to boot. I'm not complaining!
