boxed/crated jeep tools photos?

boxed/crated jeep tools photos?

Are these photo's of the smaller boxes how tools,manuals etc were boxed prior to shipment?

There is speculation that the first photo was not a pic of how the package looked when you opened it up, but rather another Ford in-house photo on what they INTENDED it to look like when they went into production...something like that.

I too looked for a comparison but knowing the length of the tire pump and comparing that to how long the box in the top photo appears......then looking at the WIDTH of the jeep tub it appears the crate in the bottom photo is LONGER.

While the TOP photo is supposed to illustrate how the tools will be packed in a box that fits into a CRATED JEEP....I think the bottom photo illustrates how shipping all that (or storing) the same stuff in an ON WHEELS JEEP might appear.

So I am not of the opinion that the box in the TOP photo is the one seen in the bottom (either of them considering the amount of stuff in the box, the smaller one in the BOTTOM photo is too small).

PS...this is the photo of jeeps in Greece in 1948 isn't it? If so, then maybe everything has been repacked into those two boxes?
