Dimensions needed (lubricating chart and grease gun holder)

Post by pfnaak » Sat Feb 17, 2018 1:22 pm

Can anybody tell me the dimensions for A and B (metric, preferably)?

And were the reinforcement plates for the grease gun holder standardised parts?

The dimensions are given in the Jeep Book "All-American Wonder '41 - 45" page 114 (Jeep parts anyone can make) of both types.
I'm not sure about the re-inforcing plates - but whatever they would be a good idea.
Good Luck

Just a guess...but perhaps the backing plates for the GG Holder are the same items as the backing plates for the hood latch assemblies?

Thanks, but I already have the parts and just need to know where to fix these two correctly. So if anyone could measure the distance for me, that would be very helpful.

Hi - I checked how my lube gun is fitted and there are backing plates between the bracket and hood. I'll measure where the mounting holes should be tomorrow and come back to you.
Cheers R

Location of the plate measures 9 1/2 from the back edge of the hood, as measured by Jon Rogers.

B is 3 inch as I recall from AAW I, however one may wait for the better source of info or ask Jon to send his drawing.
