Speedometer cases
Trying to repair a Waltham short needle from my 45 GPW - anyone make cases for these anywhere?? Orig. case is rusted through, but the innards look very good.

Re: Speedometer cases
I think you may have to search for one that is bad inside, but you can just use the case of it. I have never seen a repo of any speedo case or anyone selling any parts for parts on the inside as well. Maybe that's why so many parts jobbers sell the reproduction speedometers.

Re: Speedometer cases
Joes Motor Pool is selling repros. I don't know enough about speedos to know how close they are. I saw some at the MVPA convention last summer and they sure look nice! I don't know if they sell piece parts.

Re: Speedometer cases
Just seems such a shame to toss the guts of original speedos for the lack of a good casing. I'll have to scrounge and see if I can find a usable one with a not so good mechanism.
The JMP repros look great, though. Very reasonably priced, too.
