Hi,
I needed to patch my floor under the fuel tank and now need to re-drill the hole for the fuel line. Does anyone know the diameter of the hole and the dimensions from the side and rear riser?
Thanks

Re: Fuel Line Hole Dimensions Needed
Wolfman's tip for the day:
The hole in the floor needs to match up where the fitting is in the bottom of the fuel tank.
So, screw a fitting with a short piece of line in it, into the fuel tank.
Put the fuel tank into the tank well in the floor.
Move the tank around a bit. The short piece of line will mark the floor.
That is where the hole center needs to be.
Piece of cake !!
The pics I have show the hole size to be slightly smaller than the big rubber donut I.D.
Drawings are exactly that. But if they don't match your tank. Bad day after the hole is cut.
My method is pretty fool proof.

The hole is 1 1/2" Diameter
I measured from the underside of the body from the riser to the center is 7 1/4" on center
Then from the sump with the tape going between the frame & the floor till it hits the sump that measurement is 4" on center
the Hope this helps Good Luck Mike

I do exactly what Wolf said to do; never drill any holes until you mark the location with what is going through that hole. We are 75 years out from when these things were made, and sometimes using parts made last month. Even original parts will not be uniform. So, custom fit each part and each hole. On sheet metal I mean. Tub fitting too.

+1 as to what Wolfman and dpcd67 said. I followed the drawing as I was fabricating the floor but my floor hole now looks more like a earth - moon orbital pattern after some minor modification. It still resides within the donut so I am okay with that and can correct it in the future if I pull the tub off or then again I could call it character and leave it as is...
I suspect the issue is with the repro tank as I had to make some other changes to the straps so I could use those as well.
Good luck,
Onaway
