Rebuilding my oil burner and in the process of ordering new parts , can anyone suggest which is the best head gasket to buy ? Copper , felpro (MLS ) or other ? Having now honed cylinders and taken precise measurements it would seem at some point my block was rebored .020 and the crank was ground to .010 cleaned up everything this past few weeks since my last post

I would buy the copper one. That is my vote.

Never had any problems with the felpro gasket.
Am not saying there are any better gaskets.
0.010" on the cylinders...your lucky!

I have to agree that Felpro makes awesome gaskets however, you cannot beat copper for the best seal. Copper is stronger than composite head gaskets.

I will fall in line with what has already been said.
I have installed Fel Pro with out any issues but if you want to spend a little more, Copper is better.
I bought windshield wipers yesterday and the salesman ask, Do want Good, Better, Or Best ??
Same,Same with head gaskets.
Your call.
