Hello all,
I have a 1945 Ford GPW that is in the restoration process now. When removing broken hardware I discovered, under the dash mounted to the fire wall, a 12 volt 25 amp "Adaptabel" made by Edwards and Company just sitting there with no connections to the jeeps wiring system present. It was held on by 1 bolt and nut combo and when removed it fell right out from under the dash! Can anyone tell me why it might of been there? And possibly what its purpose was? The bell is marked "Cat No. 561" on the right side. And came with the mounting bracket and box. Thanks in advance!

Someones previous burglar alarm I presume. Its amazing all the contraptions that were cobbled to these jeeps over the years.
