Post by E-4 Ken » Wed Jan 17, 2018 3:04 am

Hello all ! my 42 GPW has a T90 transmission . is it OK to install a full gasket between the transmission and the bell housing instead of the small one that comes with the kit ? thanks Ken

T90 kits should have one that covers the entire transmission face and goes under the input housing. (Cover)

Not always. There are gaskets that are cut to go under the T-90 M.D. Bearing Retainer that come In 4 thicknesses (0.010"-0.025") in order to achieve a more proper fit of the M.D. Gear. These do not cover the complete face of the transmission.
Sometimes these show up in gasket kits.

Original gasket #640351 was full length as on the T-84. Now, all you will find unless one can source an NOS one is the small one. Cut your own.
