It seems you can't buy these parts from CAT online without creating an account with them. For whatever reason that wasn't working for me so I called the local dealer (an hour away) and ordered them over the phone. I don't know about shipping costs yet but the parts were very reasonable. I bought the oiled black phosphate as opposed to the zinc plated and each one on Marks list above was in stock. The parts guy seemed to be familiar with antique car hobbyists buying fasteners from CAT, but he seemed a little busy so I didn't bother starting a conversation. Here's the breakdown

3/8-24 X 3/4 = OL-0472 ($0.42)
3/8-16 X 1-3/4 = OS-1588 ($0.48)
3/8-16 X 1-3/4 = OS-1571 which was changed to 1653931 ($0.75)
3/8-16 X 2 = OS-1590 ($0.74)
3/8-16 X 1 = OS-1594 ($0.39)
5/16-18 X 1-5/8 = 1H-5514 ($0.44)
5/16-18 X 1-1/8 = 4B-3388 ($0.31)
5/16-18 X 7/8 = 2B-2695 ($0.26)

I wish I would have taken the time to go through Claude Pons' list or the parts manual and ordered all my body handle, etc. hardware but that will have to be for another shipment when I get to that point. Actually, I wish this project came to me with re-usable hardware! And yes, I did buy extra!

I would post what I bought, but I think we have established the MZ jeep body hardware is not the same as the MB-Basic.

I used a CAT Catalog!

I had several backorders and 5 total orders... so do not think it is easy even with a comprehensive list.

As mentioned before, thanks for all the information.
Mark, could you post the Caterpillar bolt size (for the radio jeeps) as the catalog is hard to read? Jeff appreciate the bolt listing you posted.
Thanks again for everyone's help and thoughts,
Ben

As Mark stated, those are for the MZ so it's best to verify (wish I took my own advice!) but I'm sure I'll find useful places for any extras I bought on my other antique jeeps. I'm also assuming that the MZ and MB use the same mounting hardware and that all the radio equipment uses other hardware to be installed.

Since I mentioned Claude Pons' chart I thought I'd follow my own advise and look up all the hardware I might need, but I can't find that chart on the gee. Am I correct in remembering that he had posted a chart that condensed all the misc. bolts and sizes and applications with the various locations they were used, or did he just list carburetors and my memory and search abilities have completely failed me?
