source for a good repro ammeter ?

Post by David V » Tue Oct 17, 2017 11:39 am

Who makes good repro ammeters ? I checked MV Spares but was surprised not to see one. I bought one from Jeep-Est in France but it has numbers on the dial at the bottom - 22747 I think. Should they be there ? There weren't on my old one. And the terminals are shorter than on my old one too which is a pain to screw the 2 red wires too.
Kaiser Willys looked a bit different and Ron's look like the one I bought with the numbers at the bottom.
I need a 50-25-0-25-0 one.
My old one may not have been original. The backing bracket to fix to the dash was at 90° to the terminals whereas on the repro I have only has the 2 terminal screws at the back.
Where to go ?

Thanks.

Correct OEM will have a pointed floppy needle as the AL needles were not dampened.
