I have NOS OEM on my MB with the horsehair, one is 1 5/8" thick, the other is 1-3/4". Have sold a quantity of NOS over the years and some were noticeably thinner. apparently those who stuffed them with the filler had discretion.

Mine are 2inches thick. Careful here because your passenger seat tilt will catch them if they are too thick, on saying that they all seem to flatten slightly with age, or an expanding waistline. :D

If you can see the width, you may be able to guess the thickness

I never measure them; I make them as thick as possible, within the parameters of the drivers and passenger seats, up against which, the crash pad, must be, at the maximum.

One has to be quite violent with the jeep to benefit from the crash pads.

Ha; there is a reason that the crash pad was not carried over after WW2. Because they are a joke in any "crash"; just bear in mind that any pre Wrangler jeep is a death trap and live with it. I mean, go with it.
