Here's my battery cap. Don't know if it is correct for the case you are replicating or not. If this cap can help, let me know. I've made castings of it for use on my 6v CAT battery.

Unfortunately no, the correct caps are these red ones. We will be making some repros based on this photo when the time comes.

Farell:
Great job, just curious if you know if the Optima 12V is the same size as the 6V case allowing those of us with a 12V to "look" a little more accurate is we added the battery,

Hi Winget,

I am not sure on this subject. We haven't yet gone shopping for the battery we intend to tailor the case to, and do not yet know what other batteries will fit in the space provided. All I can say at this point is we intend to fit a 6v Optima inside the case. If the 12v counterpart shares the same measurements then it will be a shoe-in.

The dimensions of this OPTIMA Batteries RedTop Starting Battery, Group Size 6, 800 CCA (Part No. 6V) is Height: 8 1/8 inch, Length: 10 inch, Width: 3 9/16 inch.

12-Volt, 750 Cold Cranking Amps, Size: 10" x 6 7/8" x 7 13/16" tall, Weight: 43.5 pounds, Dual SAE & GM Post.

From this it looks as if the 6 volt is about half the size of the 12 volt Optima.

I'm a fan of the 6 volt Optimas. They seem plenty durable and the absence of corroding battery fluid is wonderful!

Nice work, Farrell! I'll get in line myself.

First prototype case has been made. Came out really nice if you ask me. Ravenna Armory is working on the top now. Still lots of work to be done.
