Any help with hood/plant/dod?

Sadly without the data plates, and like an idiot I had the whole thing blasted.

Thanks!

I do not know how to decipher numbers as what plant they were built at. How ever I have read here on the G that GPW numbers that are stamped on the motor mount plate like yours were made at the Louisville Ky. plant. All other plants stamped their serial numbers on the frame just in front of the motor mount plate.

Your Number stamping looks to be in the style of font that Ford used and in my opinion is original to the GPW.

Ford was using the Willys style frame in the era that your GPW was built based on the serial number.

Look at the posting below by Tom.

Hi Mike,

The last two photos you show have the frame serial number stamping on the left motor mount bracket not on the frame rail. As far as I have found only Louisville stamped the motor mount bracket rather than the frame rail.

Wow, that is a super early GPW, and the marking is one of the nicest I have ever seen. Don't worry, Tom W will chime in here and tell you; he is the only guy on the planet who has all the secret information about GPWs.
