Hi All,
Im re-starting an old project-43 Willys resto. looking at forum posts I notice some tubs with a rear tailgate. Mine "looks" like those but does not open, has no hinges etc.
What year did this start, do some models have the gate and others not, do people seal these up, should I worry?
Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks!!

Re: Tub Question
Hi Tom. None of the WW2 MB's or GPW's had tail gates. Look at some of the pictures in these posts.
Ron our host sells new rear panels if yours has been cut.

Re: Tub Question
From your question, I recommend you do a lot more research and learning; get all the TMS (free on Jeep Draw, read all you can about military and CJ jeeps. You will be paid back during your restoration, the more you know up front. Don't start a WW2 jeep resto, without knowing as much as you can, as the WW2 jeep is the hardest one to get right. More changes and variations than any other vehicle.
