Help ID these 3 Radiators please
I have found 3 radiators I had in an out building., I do not know what they go to. I think 2 of them came off of GPWS but they are not GPW radiators. Anyone know what they are to?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Help ID these 3 Radiators please
Radiators 1 and 3 are Willys radiators, with 58 tubes in the front and 29 tubes at the back. But remember, Ford fitted Willys style radiators later on in the war, so they could be from later production GPWs.
Radiator 2 is a jeep radiator, but with 32 tubes front and rear, it's probably from a post war model CJ.

I did not know about these numbers. Thank you for the info.
What would the GPW radiator numbers be?
Thanks

Hi Hans.
The GPW radiator has 38 tubes both front and back and the fins are further apart. Here's some pics.

To add to Bazza's post...the GPW-marked radiatior has three rows of tubes with 38 in each row and a widening center "aisle" from front to rear row. Total of 114 tubes.

Hello Bazza46,
Your pictures are not visible anymore
What about this "GPW" radiator.
I did buy it but it looks to new to be old. Maybe it is repro?
It has 46 tubes which is way more than 38 tubes.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Greetings
Hans

Re: Help ID these 3 Radiators please
It looks to me like an original GPW radiator which has been fitted with a new core. The main clue is the soldered on plate with a job number on it. Most radiator shops used to do that. It looks like a good style of core, if not an accurate GPW style.
As to my pictures, i don't know why Photobucket won't allow them to be posted anymore, and I can't find anything about "updating my account" Perhaps they want me to pay for photo hosting now, in which case I'll leave the service.
I'll try to find how to post photos through the 'G',

That makes sense. Thank you for this info.bazza46 wrote:It looks to me like an original GPW radiator which has been fitted with a new core.
Do you know when Ford stopped using their own radiators and started using MB ones?
With respect to the photo's, I had to switch also from using dropbox public folders (which will cease to exist in September of this year) to the G503 photo album. It works but it is a lot of work to reconnect all the pictures of previous posts
Thanks

Hello David,
Of course that works also. There are quite a lot of places where you can put your pictures in the cloud and link to it.
Dropbox that I use is/was great for it. Each subscription (paid or unpaid) did have a folder called "Public". When you did put a picture or file in that folder you could link to it by copying the link and inserting it in the "/Img Img/" string.
Easy.
Unfortunately dropbox decided for one or another reason to suppress this "Public" folder starting September 2017. The user can create another folder and give public access to that one but for me that means that all links have to be updated (because the folder has another name like e.g. "htc_public").
Maybe I should have tried that and edit all my posts replacing "public" by "htc_public".
But maybe in two years Dropbox decides to change something else and I am back to having to edit the posts.
So long story short I decided to go for the hosting service of the G on http://www.surfacezero.com I guess that because of the link to G503 this will always be there.
What will you do when postimage.io decides to stop?
I guess that something similar is happening to Photobucket now. I have seen other posts with this message of not being linked anymore.
(BTW The link that Baaza49 posted does not work for me)
Maybe we should put this discussion is a different thread?
Sorry about that
Greetings
Hans
