Hello,

Just for your info: I have chassis 379 881. As the jeep is a refurbished one by the French Army, it does not have the glove box plates either and all the other stuff like tub, engine, axes etc are not matching to the chassis. (see restoration thread in signature)
So, I can only help you with questions about your chassis if needed.

Greetings
Hans

Machining / assembly date if it's your transmission. A little early for your DOD. My July 11, 1944 MB (s/n 349858) has a transmission is stamped G7-44. I've never found a maching/assembly date on a transfer case. My transfer case has casting date of 6-17-44.

Later replacement. I'd expect that number is on the water pump boss. What is you block casting number on the right side towards the bottom?
