Niblet,
Thanks for the info. What are you using for your power source, also what type metal strips are you using in your bucket setup?

Thanks,
Tom

I'm just using an old battery charger with a 2 and a 6 Amp selector switch,,,I keep it on 6 Amp,,I figure more is better right?
I just bought some flat steel stock at home depot and cut it up into lengths that fight the bucket,,
However rebar will work fine and is cheaper,,I was at Home Depot last night and I see they have it cut into different size lengths already

as you can see the paint is bubbling,,,I washed away the paint and crud with my garden hose and got these amazing results,,,,:

The yellow paint is a little stubborn it seems but I have clean unmolested metal on the pan,,
its going back in the tank for 2 more days,,I threw in some more sodium carbonate and some sodium bi-carbonate and the mixture
is going like crazy,,bubbling like a witches brew!

Tim, you seem to have pretty nice parts to start with.
Whit heavily corroded parts, electro-derusting can tage ages (I do it on ground dug artifacts, sometimes a full week @3 amps is not enough!), but it's as OK as blasting of course!
Don't forget to avoid doing it on springs, as they will be affected and could become brittle, or will need baking afterwards).

Is this where I come to not learn how to restore a jeep? Because nothing is more impressive to me than a senior member Crimp One Off on a new member doing his first car.

Thick skin comes in handy and one has to realize that many of the critics have yet to create their own restoration or have tried their hand at mechanical repairs. Nibs leads by example.
