Hi ,
I have a unrestored April 44 GPW, with a ACM 2 composite body fitted. The original data plates are intact and match the frame, however the the body gusset appears to be too high, it is 222111. From what have a read this number is more likely to be a 45 tub , then a 44 tub. Thoughts ???? Anybody more knowledgeable then out there who can verify if this is indeed a 45 tub which has had the data plates and glove box put on it from a 44 , possibly after rebuild or original 44 tub?
Cheers Shane

Re: Body tub indentification
ACM-2 body number 222111 would most likely be from April, '45 whether it was originally mounted on a MB or a GPW.

Re: Body tub indentification
Tom,
Thanks I though as much, oh well I guess I will have to keep my eyes open for a Apr 44 ACM 2 , tub. I have early 45 GPW chassis and data plates so will use that tub for that rebuild/ restoration.
Regards Shane
