7.50 x 16 tires

Post by 65shelby » Sun May 04, 2014 10:34 am

Has anybody ever used the 7.50 x 16 tires on their jeep? How does it fit? I have a jeep with an old original tag on the dash that calls for that size tire. Where can I get that size from. Please post some pictures if your jeep is fitted with those tires.

Shelby,

Here's an old post from several years ago that might be helpful to you.

I put 7.00x16s on an cj2a and they looked much better than 600s, and the jeep would go faster. 750s might be too much of a good thing.

Thank you for the input. Although I would consider doing this on my own, I'm only contemplating doing this because the tag on the dash refers to 7.50

They will contact the chassis on turns. STA manufactures 7.50 X 16 NDT.

Isn't that why there is an adjustable stop/limiters on each side of the axle housing in the swivel housing area? They are called steering stops.

These are the same size as used on the 1/2 ton dodges. They are readily available from most NDT supplies.

Check the MWO for the Desert Tire Kit with Air Compressor, there is no reference to unwelding and readjusting the turning angle. The 7.50 X 16 NDT equipped MB takes a lot of acreage to turn around. Research MWO ORD G503-W9
