The grear driven engines have a double oiljet.
Chain driven engines have oil squirting out of the crank sprocket.

Please explain "double". last time I looked on a Gear type Jeep engine it was a single Jet O.riginal earlier production Engines with Timing Gears had an 0.070" Aperture, which was later changed to a 0.40" Aperture togive more Oil Pressure at the #1 Connecting Rod.

Ben Dover, If I recall right I have seen these nozzles with 2 jet ports one for each gear.
It can be a WOF future, but not sure.
Anyway, If I come across one I'l picture it for you.
In the mean time let's say that I am wrong about the double jet nozzle.

The 641050 became 924335 when the aperture was reduced from 0.070 to 0.040. We used to peen the hole smaller or braze and redrill. I believe you will find the WOF engine with the single hole 924335, only one hole is necessary, it is aimed between the gears.

The Jet is often to as the "pisser" in automotive machine shop lingo.

The engines with timing chain had an oil passage thru the end of the crankshaft directly in line with a corresponding hole in the bottom sproccket which allowed oil under pressure to lubricate the chain. The later engines with the fibre camshaft gear had a pressure fed Jet at the front of the block that directed a jet of oil between the Camshaft and Crankshaft gear.
The return oil from the filter that is dumped back thru the timing cover also provides lubrication.
