Is this an MB/GPW accelerator?

Postby mrbill » Sat May 05, 2012 11:50 am

This was the accelerator pedal that came off of my 1945 GPW. No F-mark and the pedal appears to be made of aluminum. It still had red primer and OD on it so I'm pretty sure it was military. The linkage arm and ball joint are definitely different from the other ones I've seen. Is this just an interesting repair or might it be from an M38?

Thanks,

Bill

Appers someone attached a rod end to the pedal.

Trying to decide if I want to stay with the heim joint or not. How big is the opening that the normal (i.e., Ford rubber connector GPW 9731) rivet passes through the pedal? The opening in this one is 3/16 inch.

Thanks,

Bill
