Not that one Chuck.
Sean posted some straps which were in their original wrapping, it also showed the GPW part number on the tag.

Wish I had saved it at the time.

Hmm....can't find it on my 'puter either....but I did find this photo which is what I believe Jim Gilmore is referring to quite possibly!

The buckle in the B&W photo above shows what appears to be a FLAT STAMPED buckle as opposed to a stamped FORMED buckle as this second photo in this thread shows....too bad the Rockhanpton photo does not clearly show the buckle but it certainly IS one continuous strap on two footman loops per side.

Here is the gas can strap STAMPED/FORMED (hollow back) buckle:

Jon,
I'm not sure whose photos these are, I saved them many years ago.
I did save the photos of a NOS set of Ford GPW straps in the package from one of Prems? ebay auctions but cannot find it for some reason.
cheers
Bill.

Safety door straps Bill isn't the problem mate, it's those pesky straps under the passenger seat.

From what has been gathered, it's supposed to be just two straps, one length, no loops with an overall length of 45 ½ inches. FM-GPW-1152950.& WO-A3141

That's the photo I'm searching for.....Jeezzzzzz. wish Sean was available to ask.....do you ever get to see him down your way ?

Cheers mate

 Thats what I get for posting so late at night!
No sign of Sean in my travels, only messages from a number of members chasing him up for gauges thinking I know how to find him
Regarding the straps has anyone messaged Prem? He seemed to have the golden touch when it came to NOS accoutrements.
cheers
Bill.

Hi all,

A good frieind of mine Maurice Johnson had the pic of Seans NOS straps saved.

This is the text which Maurice had associated with the pictures (i assume from an email from Sean).

Below is a pic of my original Nos Ford boxed top roll straps. Strap, top roll FM-GPW-1152950.
They are 45 1/2" long from the top of the loop at the buckle end to the U shaped metal tip at the other end. The buckles are black coated brass pressed from flat stock. The buckles do not have an anchor stamp on them. They are a single strap with a buckle on one end and the U shaped metal tip on the other. They are the lighter coloured OD canvas strap.

The WO part No. is WO-A3141 as Mark has mentioned.

Cheers Sean

Here it is (now uploaded on jeepdraw in the colours and finish section- canvas top).

Hope this helps,
Ian.
