Is this correct ?
Dont think so Rune.
Have a look at the photo in Ord-9. You can see they used the A-281 clamp on the section between the crossover and carb. horn. If they stopped using that in late 41, why would they have the clamp in a photo with the "Late" style aircleaner :?:

:? Well I dont know why that clamp are on that pictures with the new aircleaner, but when I look at it I would say something are wrong there.
That clamp(D) would never fit over that rubber hose(C) on that picture.
Everything else on that picture seems right and even the part number say A-1515. We do know that the clamp at the picture are A-281, dont we ?

Could it be that they used clamp A-281 and another thinner rubber hose to seal betwin cross over and air horn before midt Desember 41 and that was not good at all ?

Maybe because of that they changed to a bigger rubber hose and had to have a bigger clamp. When the clamp that was on the axles fit they desided to use it.

Maybe the A-281 clamp was never used at that place and Nabholtz are wrong about that change ?

You have forgotten this:

Re: Air horn-air cleaner tube clamp A-281 /A-1515 ???

Hi guys,

I know this is an old thread, but I'm reviving it, as I can't seem to find the answers elsewhere.

When the WO-A-17318 rubber seal is used between the carburetor and air horn, is it then installed without a clamp?

The WO-53384 clamp seems to supersede the WO-A-1515, but only one (1) WO-53384 is needed, where the superseded WO-A-1515 required two (2) to be used. My thought was, that the rubber seal WO-A-17318 didn't need a clamp, so the only WO-53384 clamp needed, was on the WO-A-17317 rubber seal (air horn to crossover tube).

Can this be confirmed?

Also, earlier this thread failed to show how the WO-53384 clamp looks like, so this would also be of great help!

Thanks,
Carsten

What clamp fits the crossover tube/ air horn seal # A-17318, that would be the later style thin rubber seal.
