MAAM WWII Weekend, Reading, PA

Post by twinflyer17 » Fri May 05, 2017 5:39 am

This will be my first year attending the show with my GPW - I've been there a couple times before as a spectator. Is anyone else planning to attend to the show with their vehicle or as just a reenactor? Even as just a spectator? It would be great to put a face to some of the names that frequent these boards!

Lots of red tape is right...I've spent the last year messaging different groups until I found one I was able to join. My group is an affiliate of the MVPA, but we will all still be dressing up as well. I'm planning to be there all for all three days for now, but the requirement is just Saturday and Sunday, I believe. I have high hopes that the effort to participate will be well worth it, though!

For future reference, at the Reading WW2 weekend, only members of organized groups can register to attend as reenactors. The group I am in BIg Red One Living History Organization (BROLHO) is always interested in talking to potential new members. We sign up several new members at Reading each year. There is a lot of knowledge in the group. We portray 1st ID. The group is to participate for the full weekend, though sometimes individual members cannot participate the full weekend. Feel free to PM me for more info.
