Just a few pics of the gear were looking to sell, *** this posting is not an Auction ***, I'm not mailing this stuff out, if you see something and want it set aside or to make sure it gets loaded, PM me to make arrangements prior to us loading this weekend (once trailer maxes out that's it), I'll haul it to Aberdeen for pick up there for free. (maybe by a friend of yours going there?) If you really want it, pay in advance and it will be held for you as it's your property.
Not shown: GPW frame and front body W/Engine (rolling, $500); MULE tow bar (original, usable, but rusty shape $100); M100 trailer in decent shape for $500 (Rolling); Tandem Hitch tow bar for GPW/MB (original $900); possibly a Capstan Winch if I can locate it, Large instructional posters; much other good stuff!

Show report, wondering how it was? I have gone for the last couple years but skipped this year to go to Findlay instead. Seemed like last time the show was dwindling and was lackluster. Thoughts?

Thanks.
Anyone else have an opinion? Although I did not go, I was asking around to some other regulars and found out they didn't go neither. Usually my wife and I go and meet up with another couple who didn't and the. there were a few others that didn't.
This represents about 8 people, and these are diehards that stay at the show for the duration...

Re: 2017 East Coast Rally May 11-13
I have been the past four years. The show seemed to be down some vendors, visitors and down a lot on the display vehicles. That said, I got a nice front clip for a Willys project and a rifle mount from Mr. Winget, I believe and got some seat frames from another member and met up with several vendors/friends. I had a nice time.

Re: 2017 East Coast Rally May 11-13
It's attitudes that make a show, everyone deciding that it's less than it should be in their opinion, and choose not to participate, yeah it will be sucky.
We did well over 9K in sales in two days, 7K of that was in the rain on Thursday, and the prices we sold at were WAY, Way under retail... those that took the time to go enjoyed good deals from some dealers. Those that choose to stay home can order on-line from those that went, and pay retail plus shipping. I personally would not want to pay shipping for the $40 Split rim (about 100Lbs) I needed for my M939 series 5T, so it was worth the effort to deal with someone that had an extra and brought it.
See if you can find those $40 WWII taillight buckets at any other show....Or some of the rare manuals my buddy took up for sale at the last minute which hadn't been available anywhere else in years.
Saturday was forecast for 1" rain drenching, decision to break camp Friday night was a no brainer, but I'm sure there's 20-40+ people that will complain they could only get there Sat and no one was there, so the show is crap....This is why I tried to let anyone that follows the G know what was coming and available to try and coordinate their delivery. I had several individuals tell me they saw the items I had listed and one guy specifically came down from NY for the tubes (4 boxes of radio tubes/ service kits for $100) He was happy, I had no idea he was interested. Communication may be the key to future shows, I do not know, as the internet makes it simple to not go out for everything from goods to groceries, the interaction and art of the deal is part of the hobby to me.
In summary, I appreciate the effort the WAG group does to set this up, and opportunity to meet up with other collectors that enjoy working to make my hobby unique and not just another car show.
