ammo can blast cabinet results

Post by jfo137 » Fri Mar 24, 2017 5:21 pm

Used some of the tax return money to get a reasonably priced blast cabinet. Had a chance to try it out today and I am very happy with the results. Don't know why I didn't get one sooner! I used 80 grit glass bead on a 30 cal. ammo can. We are now ready of paint!

Looks very good. Just the "kick" I need to get busy and assemble the blast cabinet I bought a few years ago. I too have a few ammo cans I need to get finished up.

May I ask what color are you going to use and where do you get it?

Thanks, Jim

Hey Jim,

TM9 Ordnance makes a semi-gloss olive drab that is specifically for ammo cans and is spot on in my view. Last I knew it was available thru midwestmilitaty.com in rattle cans. They also have a yellow if you want to go all out and paint any stencil stuff on them.

SEMI-GLOSS Olive Drab Munitions Can Enamel. It's a "spot on" match for the original WWII .30 Ammunition Cans.
