A dud - a rusty dud - thats what I bought from a ebay auction. There were 5 to 6 holes and lots of rust. After giving up on trying to fix it - I came up with this idea. A spout (donkey dick) / tool carrier. I guess its better than a shooting target.

That is a nice smooth cut you made,what did you use to cut the top off, ?

I used a pneumatic cut off saw - the ones with a 3 to 4 inch dia abrasive wheel. I just followed the weld line - it made it easy to do. The hinge was home from scrap in my shop. If I did this again I would most likely use a premade hinge - easier to weld on. Last but not least the latch was bought at Lowes. Now it just needs the final color coat of paint.

A British can might be more difficult, because of the way it is built.
