wwii Oil drums/barrels

Anyone know what the oil drums had on the nomenclature wise? Just OIL and the weight ie 10w 40? If anyone has insight on colors of the barrels and stenciling it would be much appreciated.

Luis posted a photo of what the markings looked like in 1957, not sure if they were the same during WW2.
Unfortunately most photos showing drums are taken from enough distance to make markings unreadable.

There was a guy at WWII Weekend in St Louis last year that had a great motorpool set up with the Oil drums and jerry cans. His were painted with the nomemclature. They looked so cool I asked him if he could do up two or three for me so I could display them with my CCKW. Let me do some checking. I think a buddy of mine has his number because I lost the one he gave me. I think my friend even took some pictures of the display. Give me a couple of days and I'll see what I can find out.
