This can is dated 42 on the top and has the "dished out" McCord cap and the vent. It was G.I. refinished in the late war semi-gloss 23070 O.D. over the factory matt O.D. at some point. The re-finish is about 70% intact with the balance smooth wear/rust. One side is dented in rather uniformly and I figure it can be suction pulled out rather easily. No rot seen. Inside has about 70% or the original cream colored paint. Cap gasket is petrified. Overall a decent looking, original paint can that would look great on a late war original paint vehicle or suitable weathered restoration
