Rt68grc/pp112/ with mt299 mount and rt176(prc10)

I’m thinking about buying this set up. Not into radios but do have an m38 it could go on. Just inquiring if it’s a good deal. From what I’ve read, the mount itself is pretty hard to come by. Thanks John jr. Sorry if the pictures aren’t real good.

Sold more than that for less at Aberdeen last year, had/have plenty of mounts, but as a "whole" set up, anywhere from 150 on up based on condition of paint comes into play.
No one to talk to, Vehicle set up is only way to really power them unless yougo to effort of building power adapter battery packs.
Ifit makes the vehicle owner happy to have a display, then it's worth it, but remember, if they are originals, you willdrill multiple holes, add several hundred pounds to the vehicle and loose a lot of seating space, whicle worrying about antenna strikes or poking someone with a stowed long antenna.
Fair radio sales has several of the components shown there, a receiver I saw the other day was listed for $300 as a seperate piece on another web site. I joke, it took me several years to fidn a buyer for a complete VRC-70 setup, then we suddenly obtained a whole load of 68 series from an estate we cleaned out (and PRC-8/9/10's)

Gave one of our members a whole vehicle fender setup for PRC-10 in the vehicle power mount adapter base with antenna, mic and a battery box for the dismounted radio, which I think we were asking only $150 for at aberdeen and had not sold one of the two there last year.

I don't want to haul up the radio gear again this year, (it's heavy stuff) but I may get overuled, as they want to move it out too. Unfortunately the weather and lackluster participation at Aberdeen last year took a toll.

Is it a good buy? yeah, offer a little less for it, as your going to have to find the accessories, and there REALLY is no one to talk to on it.
