WTB: FT-512 shock insulators for MT-299 radio mount
Hi,
I have an MT-299 radio mount that uses four FT-512 rubber shock insulators but the rubber is all dried out.
Anyone have any of these available?
They are the little square boxes with the round rubber shock dampers circled in the photo.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
Try fair Radio, I think I bought mine from this listing several years ago. Ask the guys there and they may be able to send you the right ones. The items are down a ways on the listing. The mounts are on a flat plate that screw into the metal boxes.

They are FT-512 mounts
I am seeking information on M38A1's configured for MP use from 1953-?.
I am also interested in equipment and uniforms worn and carried by MP's during this timeframe.

The actual shock mount element is an M-449 which has a round rubber piece on a square plate, that plate is mounted on top of the FT-512 which is just a square aluminum spacer. The hole spacing is 1-15/16", there are two mounts in the listing with the correct hole spacing but may be too light duty, one is 12 lbs and one is 15 lbs, but they may work for you. They are listed as SM12 and SM15. The heavier proper mount is out of stock.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your replies. I ordered them from Fair Radio in Lima, OH as recommended.
The M449 part was $5.00 each. One of the locking levers on the MT-299 was broken and they had just that lever for sale too.
