For what is that part? I'm looking for one that to complete my set. What are you doing with that?

An I'm looking for two parts of the stake GP-2, too.

RL-29 Reels were part of any set that came with a wire antenna, counterpoise and/or the larger guy sets. Guys like GY-11, 12 and -42 were wound onto RL-28, which is a flat stamping.

I have some RL-29's but if you can find one in Europe, shipping will be much cheaper.

I understand, that this reel is in the sets. But I have really no idea for what. What will you do with that? Are there photos how they have been used?

For example, SCR-284, SCR-694-C and AN/GRC-9 (and several others) all used the Counterpoise set consisting of CP-12 and CP-13. Each of these was wound up on one RL-29. AN-160 for SCR-694-C was wound on one. AT-101/GRC-9 and AT-102/GRC-9 were each wound on one. Etc.

Guy Set GY-40 (2A1355-40), which was used along with three of MS-54 to extend the height of the standard 5-section vehicular antenna to about 24 feet, would have been wound on probably one RL-29 (documentation on GY-40 is poor and I have never actually seen one). Actually, GY-40 must have included the three MS-54's and three GP-2 Stakes and spares and ? as SIG 5 gives it's weight as 55 pounds.

Only one Reel RL-29 and two stakes GP-2 are missing.

Thanks. What TM is the photo Fig 19 from?

BG-125 appears to be large enough for everything except the three MS-54's. What are they stored in?

Is the triangular blob above the BG-125 in the photo the upper guy attachment plate? How do you attach the IN-86's to it?

Also, what is the length of each GY-22-A? SIG 5 strangely does not give that. The cord it is made from appears to be RP-5.

Hi,
In the TM11-630 for the SCR-506-A they wrote from 4 MS-54. Three for the 25 feet-antenna, one MS-54 as spare.

BG-125 is for all the small items. The mast sections MS-54 are carried in BG-56-A with the other ones.

The triangle is the Guy plate FT-360. It has three hooks for the IN-86.

GY-22-A cord looks like RP-5. Right.

Length? Don't know....but they are long.
