You are probably thinking of the BX-49-A, several different versions of which had three (at least) different latch configurations, holes to store either 5 (one set) or 12 tubes, and holes and notches for storing 12 coil and crystal sets. I have some of all variants, mostly empty or being used to store coils and crystals. I have two or three with the standard 12-channel load-out, various latch configurations. Crystal case types probably an assortment of metal and plastic, black and brown FT-243's. So would probably represent as restocked and reissued. Price $150. Which is actually a bargain, as one checked and working coil and crystal set has be around $30 for more than two decades.

The original BX-49 was a rectangular wooden box with sliding cover, 11" x 6-3/16" x 3-3/8", unpainted, dovetail corners, stenciled on sliding cover. Contents are 12 green boxes each containing 2 coils and 2 crystals. And 5 tubes individually boxed. The one that I have is stamped "D" on the cover and on the coil & crystal boxes. Tube boxes 1944 or 1945 except 1R5 box is Vietnam era. Might have an older one. Price $200.

"Standard" load-out is

4035
4080
4280
4397.5
4495
4840
4930
5205
5327.5
5397.5
5437.5
5500
