I think Robert - wa5cab used to have spray cans of the stuff. He had them made up but last I heard (A couple of years ago), they were getting old and were failing to wrinkle.

I have heard of folks getting gray or black wrinkle paint and over coating it with OD.

I have been thinking of calling my old vendor and seeing whether (a) they are still in existence and (b) whether or not they can still make it and for how much. However, I didn't do that 9 or 10 years ago because unlike the first batch two years earlier, it didn't sell well at all.

So let me ask this question - if it were available again, and in 12 Oz spray cans like the last two batches, how many would buy some and how many cans? If it were also available in pint or quart cans, how many? For reference, one can will do about one PE-97/117/120 if you are good, or maybe three BC-611's. Because of the necessity of applying two heavy coats in order to get a good wrinkle, usage rate is double or a little more than what you would expect with flat or semigloss.

Mostly WW-II Signal Corps radios and accessories. And a few very early Korean War. Besides being wrinkle finish, it's actually not quite the same shade of olive green as either early or late war OD.

He in the UK we have the same problem. I would be happy to buy from the US but shipping overseas especially if it were by air would be a problem. The trouble we have in this country is that greedy manufactures put up their minimum orders of powder and wet paints from 10 to 25 kg, so in the end I done a little bit of experimentation with wrinkle paint you buy in a can from the shelf. Did you know if you mix black wrinkle paint with a yellow pigment the paint will turn green, the more you add the lighter it gets, when you get to a shade of the signal corps green you then add orange which will give its slight shade of brown to the green. With careful planing using syringes for the pigments using the increments on the syringe to a know measurement of black wrinkle paint you should have a consistent colour formula. I tried this and I had perfect results, I would use three thick heavy coats five minutes in between enough so you don't get runs and use a hot air dryer after. Watch out the paint can still fizz a bit after a while as its been pressurised, best if wrinkle could come in normal tins rather than spay.

If you do consider making spray cans, can you take in account us overseas where spray cans are a shipping issue ie just normal tins of paint.

Yes, when I get time to call the manufacturer (assuming that they can still do it), I have it in my notes to ask about packaging part of the minimum order in spray cans and part in plain cans. What size plain cans do you think would be best?
