For sale is a SCR-193 radio set. This is a WWII radio used in Jeeps, Command Cars, various tracked vehicles and even airplanes.
It is very complete in nice to very nice condition and includes some of the super rare items. The only thing not included is the vehicle specific mounting, but all mountings for the radios are there, some of them are harder to get than the radio itself.
Set includes
BC-191 AM/CW transmitter with mounting FT-151 and separate top shock mounting FT-178
BD-77 dynamotor
BC-312 AM/CW receiver with mounting and separate top shock mounting FT-178
all connecting cables
vehicle connection box
4 tuning units, TU5, TU6, TU8 and TU10
1 transporting box for a tuning unit CS-49
Microphone T-17
Headset HS-30
Technical Manual (original 1941, no copy)
All devices are 194x manufactured and some are MFP'ed 1950.
I have tested the radios 20 years ago and they were fully functional. I have replaced the dynamotor in the BC-312 with a NOS unit. Everybody familiar with these radios however knows that specifically the capacitors dry out and go bad. Hence no functional guarantee. You need a HAM radio license to operate these radios.
This is for the hardcore collector only and only personal pick-up.
Furthermore I have for sale:
BC-348 AM receiver
french license build, like new condition, this is a light weight radio used in aircraft, uses 24V
BC620-A FM transceiver
the typical Jeep radio
this is a reconditioned unit from the 1950, in like new condition
This is only applicable to Europe as I will not ship. Please make offers via PM, I will reply to any offer but will not comment if too far off.
