SCR-508 Questions

Postby steve1973 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 4:11 pm

I've been collecting parts for my SCR-508 and have some questions. I've noticed that some items that I am finding have a letter after it such as BC-603A, Dynamotor DM-34-D and so on. Does it make a big difference if it has these extra letters or not?

Still looking for someone to restore my unit. My local gut won't touch it. :( Any suggestions?

I'm also missing all data plates form all 3 units. Anyone out their have any spares?

Thanks,
Steve A.

The letter doesn't matter as there were none made after 1945.The depot rebuilt sets have no order number or date on the data plate. You will more than likely have to buy another set for the data plates as they are usually not available. These things are very heavy so shipping would be expensive. They can be refinished easilly but there is no guarantee that they can be repaired so you could be out a lot of money for shop work and shipping on a set that might not ever work.
