Looking for Mounting 284

Post by Dave A. » Sat Sep 27, 2014 6:06 am

Getting close to finish gathering all the components of a SCR 608 radio set to be put in an M3 halftrack. However, I am looking for the mounting 284 which bolts to the floor and holds the CH-74 cabinet. I've seen past posts regarding Tom Campbell who reproduced them but unfortunately he no longer has any.

Does anybody have a 284 for sale?

Thank you.

Brian, thank you for the reply.

No, he has the FT 285 correctly listed. The 285 looks quite different than the 284 though even in some manuals they are mislabeled. For instance, TM 11-620 clearly shows a 285, cites it numerous times but only when discussing dimensions does one realize the manual is referring to a 284.

Anyway, one gentleman PM'ed me and indicated he had a 284 so currently waiting for a photo to confirm. Anxiously standing by....

Speaking of....

The guy who said he had a 284 just informed me he was mistaken and it is a 285! So, still looking for a 284.
