Kubelwagen replica project *SOLD*

Post by B.C. » Sun Mar 12, 2017 5:36 am

I have a friend in the Pittsburgh area who has two VW Things for sale. He has sold the building they're stored in and he needs to empty the building. He'll take $2500 for the pair. Please contact Gene directly at 412-823-2927. Someone must be able to use these for Kubelwagen replicas.

VW things are not a good replica of a Kubel wagen, nor do they lend themselves to conversion. Over the past few months, the WWII HRS vehicle committee looked in to that very topic when they were crafting the authenticity regs for jeeps and kubels.

But good VW Things are collectible in their own right and should be an easy sell.

i do some ww2 reenacting here in the north bay area, and theirs a guy named jurgen who reenacts as a german officer, who has an original kubelwagen, which i have seen many times.your friends replica project looks very close and similar to his vehicle.i just looked at pictures of his and yours, and they look very close.all he needs now is a balkenkreuz painted on the side.or not.
