handmade marine foot locker questions

Post by 715m29 » Fri Dec 29, 2017 12:27 am

I picked up this handmade marine foot locker at a auction last month and really don't know anything about it. I thought it was well made and would be a good place to keep my little military items I have collected the last few years. Was this a common design? Any guesses as to the vintage of the box? I think I got a good deal on the box since I couldn't build one like it for what I paid. Thanks for any thoughts you might have on it.

Doesn't look like any foot locker I had, but that is not to say it isn't, as in the lot earlier days it could very well been one as I was in the early 70's
