WTK: USAF blue M1 steel pot?

Post by Kendall » Sun Dec 03, 2017 4:35 pm

A while back I was at a flea market and noticed a blue painted (inside and out) M1 steel pot. It had a later liner. At first I thought it was just a regular pot that someone had painted blue, but it also had a blue web chin strap. Were these steel pots actually issued in blue for the Air Force and what is a value for one in decent shape?
Thanks,
Kendall

Foreign I believe, likely European, like the orange (Danish?) ones out there.
