A MVPA member built one and had it at the national convention in Topeka, KS 3 years ago? And it was featured in the Army Times edition right after the convention. When I wanted to do a WWI Model T, I didn't want to do an ambulance as that is what most Model T's were used for. But some were used as light patrol vehicles and machine gun carriers, so I went in a different direction that the ambulance.

1915 chassis and running gear. Open light express body.

He is a picture of a WWI signal corps ambulance in the Walt Disney Museum
This belonged to a long passed local club member and dear friend Henry McBride
If differs as it uses a canvas cover in the rear
The body in this is an original WWI Ambulance body

Well we got the Model T frame back from the Sand Blaster and primed it and starting to put it back together. We have all new bushings installed in the front axel , we picked up the drive shaft and housing from Kevin Purus in Columbiana Ohio he took out the old bering and installed a new tapered bering in it. Kevin has our Engine at his Model T Engine Shop and it should be ready in 23 months ! We have had a lot of trips over to Snyder Antuque Car Parts in New Springfield Ohio and they have been a Great help with this project . We also bought 4 wood spoke wheels that were just made by Stutsman Wheel in Baltic Ohio. We are in contact with a man in France who blueprinted the only surviving WW1 French built Model T its in the Hall of Mirrors Museum.
Thats all for now. Don Shaffer N.E. Ohio
