"Director's" Chairs--are they correct?

Post by thidisbogus » Fri Jul 22, 2016 9:23 pm

I was considering sourcing some wooden "director's" type chairs and painting them OD for use at events. I have seen some people use them at events and was wondering if that type was indeed used during WW2?

Only GI Issue canvas chairs I ever saw issued were the simple folding type with no back. They were not dyed. Until recently a long time original USA manufacturer was still making the civilian version. Byers Manufacturing here in Maine made them for decades with green canvas. The product is now an off shore item.
