HBT Question

Postby DaveFox » Mon May 10, 2004 10:31 am

I recently picked up an HBT shirt, and there is something strange about it. It is a 3rd pattern shirt, but the thing that is different are the buttons. Instead of the 13 star buttons, it has buttons that are the same size and color but have no 13 star stamping, they seem to be the kind that are on the shelter halves. The only marking I found is one that says the size: 36R. Anyone have any ideas? I'll load up a picture soon if I need to.

The 3rd pattern changed from the 13 star buttons to a simpler to manufacture button. According to the Quartermaster changes in 1943.
