Repro riflebelt?

Postby David » Wed Mar 24, 2004 8:00 am

Does anyone have experience with the repro M1 rifle ammo belt from Sportman's guide? It looks OK to me for that price, but has anyone bought one? The itemnumber is WX2-51346.

Total junk. They are made in india from inferior materials. They fall apart with little use. Buy one from www.atthefront.com you will be better off.

David,

Haven't bought one but the color and markings look good at least! Price is in line with what everyone else wants for them too.

I've seen a reproduction USMC-marked version (not through Sportsman's Guide) that is a hideous pale tan color, unlike any original khaki shade I've encountered.

I too considered the color and markings as good but the belt would be very cheap for good quality then so I was a bit suspicious, and Bill confirmed that feeling. I'll pass them. Thanks for the input! :D
